Neighborhoods Initiative: This introduction presentation provides an overview of Cincinnati Preservation’s Neighborhoods Initiative, a five-year effort to partner with 60 neighborhoods and communities to strengthen protections for historic buildings and the character they create. It explains the goals of the initiative, how neighborhoods can participate, and why preservation is a powerful tool for celebrating local history while supporting vibrant, livable communities.

The session will also explore where Community Development Corporations can partner, refer entrepreneurs, and align food-based strategies with broader community revitalization goals. The presentation provides an overview of the Corporation for Findlay Market’s food innovation ecosystem and how it supports entrepreneurs from idea stage through brick-and-mortar readiness. Attendees will learn how Findlay Kitchen, Findlay Launch, and Findlay Learn work together to lower barriers to entry for food businesses, strengthen neighborhood commercial corridors, and advance equitable economic development. .
